Derek Curtis

Derek Curtis has extensive experience in the broadcasting and technology sectors, currently serving as the Director at the Department of Parliamentary Services since July 2023, following a brief career transition. Previously, Derek held various leadership roles at MediaHub Australia from December 2010 to September 2021, including Head of Technical Operations and Work Health and Safety Chair, Head of Product, and Head of Technology Services, where responsibilities encompassed managing broadcast technology departments, conducting skill-gap analyses, and implementing strategic projects. Prior to MediaHub, Derek worked at Foxtel in multiple capacities, contributing to significant events such as the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games and 2010 Vancouver Olympic Winter Games. Derek's career began in broadcasting with roles at Norther Rivers Television and Darling Downs Television, advancing through various technical and operational positions.
