Patrick W.

Patrick W. has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Patrick worked as a Director of Strategic Research at the Parliament of Canada, where they held various roles such as Manager of Strategic Research and Special Assistant. Patrick also served as a Parliamentary Assistant during their tenure. Prior to this, they worked as an Environmental Technologist at GHD and as a Stream Restoration Assistant at the Shubenacadie Watershed Environmental Protection Society. Additionally, they gained experience as a Field Sampling Technician with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and as a Supervising Technical Writer at Veterans Affairs Canada. Patrick also worked as a Library IT Assistant at the University of Prince Edward Island and as a Technical Writer at Veterans Affairs Canada. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Front Desk Agent at Accor and as a Senate Page at the Senate of Canada.

Patrick W. attended the University of Prince Edward Island from 2009 to 2012, where they studied Political Science. Prior to that, they studied Political Science at the University of Ottawa from 2006 to 2007. Patrick also obtained a Diploma in Environmental Engineering Technology, with a focus on Water Resources Technology, from the Nova Scotia Community College - NSCC.

In addition to their formal education, Patrick W. has obtained several certifications. In 2014, they obtained a Restricted Operator's Certificate (Maritime) - DSC/GMDSS from the Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons. In 2012, they obtained a Marine Emergency Duties for Small Non-Pleasure Vessels (MED A3) certification from Transport Canada - Transports Canada. In 2009, they obtained a Small Vessel Operator Proficiency certification, also from Transport Canada - Transports Canada.
