Alister Henskens SC MP is an experienced parliamentarian and barrister, currently serving as the Member for Wahroonga, Shadow Attorney-General, and Manager of Opposition Business in Parliament of NSW since April 2015. Previously, Alister held several ministerial roles, including Minister for Enterprise Investment and Trade, Minister for Sport, Minister for Science, Innovation and Technology, and Minister for Skills and Training, along with serving as Leader of House and Member for Ku-ring-gai. Alister is also a barrister at 7 Wentworth Selborne as of August 2023, having previously served at Ninth Floor Selborne Chambers from June 1996 to August 2023. Alister holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Economics (BEc) from the University of Sydney, along with a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Toronto, focusing on Defamation, Free Speech, and Comparative Constitutional Law.
