Marita Vandenberg

Marita Vandenberg is an experienced communications professional with a diverse background in various government agencies in New Zealand. Currently serving as a Senior Communications Advisor at the Parliamentary Counsel Office since August 2023, Marita previously worked at the Department of Internal Affairs as a Senior Communications Advisor from May 2022. Other notable roles include Co-Lead for the DOC 35 History Project at the Department of Conservation, Communications Specialist at Callaghan Innovation, and Senior Communications Advisor at Oranga Tamariki–Ministry for Children. Marita has a strong track record of leading communication projects, supporting culture change initiatives, and providing strategic communications advice across different departments. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and Geography from the University of Canterbury.
