Emily McKim has a diverse and extensive work experience in the education field. Emily started their career in 2007 as a Middle School Teacher at Holy Family. Emily then served as an Intern at Brooklyn Middle School, where they worked on projects for their master's degree and gained valuable experience working with students, teachers, and staff. Emily later joined Forest Park Middle School as a Middle School Teacher, where they taught 6th and 7th grade reading and English. Emily also took on additional responsibilities as the English Department Chair and a Resident Educator Mentor. Emily then moved on to Pleasant Valley Elementary School, where they worked as an Administrative Intern. In this role, they focused on developing their administration skills and preparing for future positions as an Assistant Principal or Principal. Most recently, Emily joined Parma City School District, initially as an Assistant Principal and now as a Principal. Their work experience demonstrates their dedication to education and their continuous growth within the field.
Emily McKim completed their Bachelor's Degree in Junior High/Intermediate/Middle School Education and Teaching from Cleveland State University, where they attended from 2003 to 2006. Emily later pursued a Master's Degree in Elementary, Middle and High School Administration/Principalship at the same university from 2011 to 2013. Prior to their undergraduate studies, Emily attended Cuyahoga Community College from 2000 to 2003 for Junior High/Intermediate/Middle School Education and Teaching. Emily completed their high school education at Holy Name High School from 1996 to 2000, specializing in College Prep.
