Caroline O'Rourke has worked in various roles in the field of microbiology and quality assurance. Caroline began their career in 2013 as a Contract Analyst at Complete Laboratory Solutions, where they received training on laboratory quality systems and conducted testing of client samples in the microbiology laboratory. In 2013, they joined Allergan as a Contract Microbiologist, where their responsibilities included water sampling, using LIMS and Trakwise systems, and passing materials into clean rooms using VHP system. Caroline then worked as a Microbiologist at Amgen from 2014 to 2016, where they performed daily tasks such as bioburden testing, endotoxin testing, and reviewing laboratory data and documentation. Most recently, they have been employed as a QA Team Leader Release at Parnell Veterinary Pharmaceuticals since March 2022.

Caroline O'Rourke completed their education at the University of Galway, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Microbiology from 2007 to 2011.
