Miroslav Smolka

Miroslav Smolka is an experienced professional in fire protection and engineering, currently serving as a Senior Lead Engineer in R&D Fire Protection at Owens Corning PAROC® since August 2023. Previously, Miroslav held the position of Quality Manager for Product Development at ZKW from April 2021 to August 2023, and prior to that, served as Head of Testing/Approvals at Etex Building Performance from March 2018 to November 2020. Miroslav's extensive background includes a tenure at ROCKWOOL Group, where responsibilities included Technical Marketing and Standardisation Management from September 2006 to February 2018, and earlier roles at FIRES s.r.o., where Miroslav was Head of Testing/Certification, Quality Manager, QMS Auditor, and Metrologist from January 1998 to August 2006. Miroslav holds an Engineer's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Instrumentation and Automation from Slovenská technická univerzita v Bratislave and an M.B.A. in Business Administration and Management from Vysoká škola manažmentu / CityUniversity of Seattle.
