Parragon’s History
Parragon was established in the late 1980s to supply books to the UK supermarket sector. By the late 1990s, they were the largest publisher of supermarket books in the UK and investors were anxious to finance their growth. This resulted in D.C. Thomson, a major privately owned Scottish media group, acquiring and expanding Parragon overseas.
