Philippe ROYAN is a seasoned humanitarian adviser with extensive experience in various crisis contexts. Currently self-employed as a humanitarian adviser since March 2025, Philippe previously served as a policy adviser for the World Food Programme in Yemen and as Head of Programme in Tunisia from October 2018 to October 2021. Additional roles include monitoring and evaluation specialist at Particip GmbH and humanitarian affairs officer at United Nations OCHA. Philippe has also contributed to the Department for International Development as a humanitarian adviser for Northern Syria and Yemen crises, and held various leadership positions at the European Commission, including Head of ECHO offices in Somalia, Moscow, and as Regional Coordinator for the Horn of Africa. Philippe's educational background includes a degree in humanitarian affairs from The Bioforce Institute and a Post Graduate Diploma in sustainable agriculture from the University of London.
