Richard J Karuhn

Richard Karuhn is the President and CEO of Particle Technology Labs. He joined PTL in March 2012, and oversees the corporate direction, strategy and compliance for the Laboratory.

Before joining PTL, Mr. Karuhn spent more than 25 years in senior leadership roles for large-scale research and development organizations and Fortune 100 companies. Most recently, Mr. Karuhn spent 20 years at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, where he held a variety of senior leadership positions in IT and business operations. Prior to that time, Mr. Karuhn held senior leadership positions at IBM Global Services, Marshall Fields, and USG Corporation. Mr. Karuhn has broad industry experience spanning research and development, manufacturing, utilities, commercial real estate, retail and management consulting services. He has served as a Managing Director of PTL since 2008, and is a Managing Director and Principal of numerous other firms.

Mr. Karuhn earned a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, and an MBA in Finance from DePaul University.
