Kate Grode has worked in the engineering field since 2013. Kate began their career at Bosch as an intern in the Automotive Electronics Reliability section, where they simulated drive situations and their associated temperature/humidity load distributions. In 2014, they joined Tesla as a Technical Program Manager in the Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) department, where they were responsible for improving team efficiency, integrating the team within design and manufacturing team workflows, managing team resources, introducing tools for documentation, coordinating NVH buy-off for new products, managing the Model 3 NVH BOM, and communicating NVH risks to Tesla Programs team. Kate also held a Technical Program Manager position in the Reliability and Test department, where they were responsible for integrating test teams with each other and with design engineering, improving test status/results communication both internally & with suppliers, monitoring overall program test completion, and coordinating the Model 3 vehicle test endurance test program. Additionally, they held a Reliability Engineer position in the Design for Reliability department, where they were responsible for the development of reliability validation test plans using a physics of failure approach, facilitation of DFMEAs, tracking of test completion, and the highlighting of design/production risk. In 2018, they joined Particle as the Director Program Management Office, Sr. Manager, Program Management, and Sr. Engineering Project Manager, Professional Services.

Kate Grode received their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University in 2014 and their Master's Degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University in 2015.
