Dino Di Carlo

Co-Founder and Board Member at Partillion Bioscience

Dino Di Carlo has a strong background in bioengineering and academia. Dino began their career at UCLA in 2008 as an Assistant Professor, eventually moving up to become an Associate Professor and then a Professor. In their role at UCLA, they operated as the CEO of a research laboratory, overseeing fundraising, budgeting, project identification, and lab management. Dino also taught courses in biomedical engineering design and fluid mechanics. In addition to their work at UCLA, Di Carlo has held various advisory and board positions in the biotech industry, including scientific advisor at Cue Health Inc., and co-founder and board member roles at Partillion Bioscience, Hana Diagnostics, Forcyte Biotechnologies, Inc., Tempo Therapeutics, CytoVale, and Vortex Biosciences, Inc. Dino has also served as a Visiting Professor at The University of Tokyo.

Dino Di Carlo obtained a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of California, San Francisco, during the period from 2002 to 2006.
