Emily Sumner has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Emily started their career as a Market Research Intern at SCU BioInnovation and Design Lab in 2020. In 2021, they joined Partner Therapeutics, where they initially worked as a Clinical Research Associate Intern. Then, in 2022, they became a Clinical Research Associate I at the same company. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2021, Emily was an NCAA Division 1 Student-Athlete at Santa Clara University. Additionally, in 2020, they worked as a COVID-19 Literature Research and Analysis at the University of Michigan.

Emily Sumner has a strong educational background. Emily obtained their Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering Management & Leadership from Santa Clara University in 2022. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the same university in 2021. Emily also holds a High School Diploma, which they earned from Foothill High School in 2017.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Emily has obtained several certifications. Emily completed the 10-Week Clinical Research Associate (CRA) On-Boarding Program at Barnett International in May 2022. Emily also received training as a Mentor through Mentor Collective in August 2021. Furthermore, Emily has certifications in Basic Life Support for Healthcare and Public Safety (BLS) and CPR, both obtained from the American Heart Association in August 2019.
