Medical Director at Partner Therapeutics

Luis Leal has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Luis started their career at Metro Orthopedics, where they served as a Physician and Residency Director from July 1991 to July 2000. During this time, they specialized in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disorders and diseases of small bones and joints. Luis also managed all financial and business aspects of the medical practice.

Afterwards, Luis joined Palisades Medical Center as a Physician and Administrator from August 2000 to March 2008. In this role, they provided patient care to a diverse and multicultural patient population.

In 2009, Luis joined Strategic Edge Communications, Inc. as a Director of Medical Strategy. Luis acted as a contact point for relationships with key opinion leaders, attending national conferences as a medical lead for one-on-one engagements. Luis also supported the marketing team with medical questions, customer presentations, and product trial analysis.

From 2014 to 2018, Luis had various roles as a Medical Science Liaison. Luis worked at The Medical Affairs Company as a Medical Science Liaison Dermatology from June 2014 to June 2015. Luis also worked as an Independent Contractor for Pharmaceutical Medical Education from January 2014 to June 2014. Then, they joined Sandoz as a Medical Science Liaison, first in Immunology/Oncology from June 2015 to March 2018, and then as a Director in Immunology/Oncology from October 2017 to March 2018.

Currently, Luis is working at Partner Therapeutics as a Medical Director, starting in April 2018.

Luis Leal has a diverse education history. Luis obtained a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Microbiology from Rutgers University. Additionally, they completed a Certificate Program in Executive Leadership from Cornell University. Furthermore, Luis Leal holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree specializing in Finance and International Business management from the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University.
