Michael E. Macko is a seasoned archaeologist with extensive experience in cultural resource management. Currently serving as a Senior Archaeologist at Partner Engineering & Science, Inc. since June 2023, Macko also operates Macko Archaeological Consulting as President and Principal Investigator, overseeing projects from preliminary research to complex excavations. Previous roles include Cultural Resources Group Manager at Aspen Environmental Group and Project Archaeologist at Applied Conservation Technology, Inc., where responsibilities included project design, staffing, and coordination with Native American organizations. Macko holds a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology from UC Santa Barbara.
