Marc Verdaguer Ginestera

Marc Verdaguer Ginestera has been working in the software development industry since 2008. Marc began their career as a Laborer at Pous i Perforacions Ba-Ve SL in 2008, where they assisted the officer in the construction of water wells and the electrician in the water pumps installation. Marc also worked as a Scholar at the Universitat de Girona, where they were part of a team who developed two computer games in the GiLAB, using Unity3D. Additionally, they were a Research Scholar at the Universitat de Girona, where they developed an application to generate 3D models of cities from maps of them in SVG format.

In 2012, Marc Verdaguer Ginestera became a Co-Founder and Project Manager at Elastic Software S.L., a company which aimed to develop software for the industry. Marc then became a Freelance Software Developer in 2015, developing web apps using AngularJS, TypeScript, D3.js, and Symfony2. In the same year, they started working at Cetrea A/S as a Frontend Developer, where they took on the role of Feature Lead in some projects coordinating the work of a multidisciplinary team.

In 2019, Marc Verdaguer Ginestera began working at Piktochart as a Senior Frontend Developer, where they were part of the Piktostory team. In this role, they also worked as the PM of the team and kicked off a new SaaS, Piktostory, an online video editor. Currently, they are a Senior Frontend Developer at PartnerPage, a position they have held since 2022.

Marc Verdaguer Ginestera earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Universitat de Girona between 2009 and 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Technical Engineering in Computer Managements degree from the same university between 2006 and 2009. Additionally, they have obtained numerous certifications from edX and Coursera, including Introduction to MongoDB using the MEAN Stack, Introduction to Project Management, The Violent Universe, Learn HTML5 from W3C, Software Security, Web Application Architectures, Introduction to Bootstrap, Introduction to TypeScript, Querying with Transact-SQL, Engineering Software as a Service, Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems, Think Again: How to Reason and Argue, Foundations of Computer Graphics, The Ancient Greeks, and Inspiring Leadership through Emotional Intelligence.
