Manas Tandon

Partner & Head, Private Equity Goods & Products at Partners Group

Manas Tandon is Head of Partners Group's Mumbai office and Head of the Private Equity Goods and Products business unit. He is a member of the Global Investment Committee and the Private Equity Direct Leads Investment Committee and Chairman of the Private Equity Direct Co-Investments and Direct Lead Growth Investments in Goods and Products Investment Committee. He has 24 years of industry experience, also serving on the Board of Directors of the firm's portfolio companies Aavas Financiers, Ecom Express and Vishal Mega Mart. Prior to joining Partners Group, Manas co-led TPG's growth investments in India, having started his investing career with Matrix Partners, where he was responsible for investments in mobility and financial services. Before that, Manas was engaged in designing and selling cutting-edge telecom solutions for start-ups such as MaxComm Technologies (acquired by Cisco Systems) and Camiant Inc (now part of Oracle). He holds an MBA in finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, USA, where he was a Palmer Scholar, and a bachelor's degree in Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, where he was awarded the Silver Medal for outstanding academic performance. Manas holds eight US patents and is a member of the Mumbai chapter of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO).
