Mark Brender is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership roles within the nonprofit sector and journalism. Since August 2011, Mark has served as the National Director for Partners In Health Canada. Previously, Mark was Vice-President and Director of Business Development at Prostate Cancer Canada from September 2009 to August 2011. From May 2006 to June 2009, Mark held the position of Deputy National Director in Canada for Right To Play, focusing on fundraising and relationship management within the sport for development framework. Mark's early career as an award-winning Senior Writer at The Hockey News from 2002 to 2006 established expertise in NHL matters and industry issues. Mark began the professional journey as a Freelance Writer/Editor from May 1999 to August 2002, contributing to various high-profile publications. Mark holds a Master's degree in Journalism from Carleton University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from McGill University.
