Partnership for Los Angeles Schools
My personal mission is to ensure that Partnership students have access to high-quality programs that nurture their academic curiosities, elevate their voices, build their experiences and get them to and through college. Our team values community experiences, relationships, the importance of sustainable impact and a whole-child centered approach. I started my career as a college advisor in a high need district school and held roles in youth leadership development, supplemental education program management, adult education and advocacy, and capacity builder and trainer. I hold a Masters of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Chicano/a Studies from California State University, Northridge. In my free time, I support a youth scholarship program, I indulge in LA’s eclectic food scene, and l love to explore California’s scenic and historic sites with my husband and daughter.

Founded in 2007, the Partnership is driven by our mission to transform schools to revolutionize school systems, empowering all students with a high-quality education. We seek to dramatically accelerate student achievement by managing and building capacity in 20 of the highest-need schools within the Los Angeles Unified School District. Our network of schools, grades K-12 public schools, is concentrated in the communities of Watts, South LA and Boyle Heights. The Partnership school transformation model integrates three components: Great Leaders offers our 20 school principals and all assistant principals professional development, leadership guidance and coaching that equips them to establish a shared school vision with robust systems; Highly-Effective Teaching provides our teacher leaders with integrated professional learning and coaching that promotes strong classroom instruction and peer support; and Engaged & Empowered Communities leverages our partnerships with more than 100 community organizations, and empowers families annually to become the best advocates for their children through our Parent College program.
