Garrett Gilbertson is a seasoned investment professional with extensive experience in early-stage startups and advisory roles. Currently serving as a Seed Investor at HyperSpectral and as the Founder & Managing Partner of SUM Ventures, Garrett has been instrumental in accelerating the growth of innovative companies through strategic investment and mentorship. As the Chairman of the Los Angeles Group at Band of Angels, Garrett oversees a diverse portfolio in Cyber Security, Fintech, and Enterprise Software. Additional commitments include roles as an Investor, Advisor & Board Observer at DressX, an Investor & Board Member at BRIUS®, and engagement with multiple startups such as PlantSwitch and PayAmigo. Garrett's educational background includes executive education at Harvard Business School, a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the United States Air Force Academy, and a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from Pepperdine University.
