Professional Child Development Associates

PCDA is nonprofit, multidisciplinary clinic that benefits children, teens, and young adults with autism or other developmental challenges through innovative DIR Floortime-based therapies, services, and professional education. PCDA offers programs in several clinical disciplines: Occupational Therapy; Nutrition and Feeding Support; Speech and Language Therapy; Child and Family Counseling; Creative Arts, including Music Therapy, adapted art, music and dance lessons, the Note-Ables Children's Choir and Creative Arts Summer Camp; Special Olympics Young Athletes fitness program; and individual and group social-emotional and socialization skills interventions for infants through age 21. PCDA uses the DIRFloortime approach for all services. This approach embraces the complexity of human development and interaction, involves parents and other caregivers in every aspect of care, tailors interventions to each child's individual differences, and follows a child's interest, challenging them to deepen and expand their learning. Each child's short-term developmental goals have a positive impact on long-term quality of life.
