Ian Brooks has over 20 years of experience in software development and programming. Ian is currently working as a Senior Software Developer at Pass the Keys, where they use Python, Django, Django REST framework, Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to develop and maintain the company's systems. Ian is also responsible for working with AWS features like RDS, DynamoDB SES, S3, and Lambda functions.

Before joining Pass the Keys, Ian worked as a Freelance and Hobbyist Web/Desktop Programmer, taking on scripting work from companies like AVC Agency. Ian has expertise in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and JQuery. In their free time, they actively learn new coding languages, frameworks, and technologies.

Prior to their freelance work, Ian worked as a Software Engineer at Conspexit Ltd, where they helped design and develop a backend API using Python 3 for a mobile app that enables visually impaired users to "see the world" using computer vision and audio feedback. Ian also worked on a location-based augmented reality game.

Ian has held various other positions throughout their career, including roles such as Business Analyst/Support at Somerset Care, WolfSurfer Designer and Webmaster as a self-employed individual, and Programmer/Web Marketing at Metropolis2 Ltd. Ian has experience with Visual Basic programming, ASP, COBOL, and Crystal Reports, and has contributed to projects aimed at addressing the year 2000 bug.
