James Hardy

Lead Web Developer at Pass the Keys

James Hardy has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. James began their career as a Customer Support Agent at Demon Internet in 2000. James later worked as a Web Development Manager at Regis Group PLC, where they developed various web applications, including the Regis Group Intranet and RegisDirect. In 2003, they joined Equity Asset Management as a Web Development Manager.

In 2004, James transitioned to Saffron Digital, where they worked as a Senior Developer on the web development team. James collaborated with clients such as Samsung, KDDI, NBC Universal, Vodafone, T-Mobile, O2, Bauer Media, IPC Media, and The Co-operative Group. Their role involved creating web applications in different programming languages, including applications for Connected TV.

In 2015, James joined eMoov.co.uk as a Full-stack Web Developer and lead a small team in building out the platform. James played a key role in migrating the initial monolithic Django app to a microservices architecture, focusing on security and efficiency. Their responsibilities included backend development using Python/Django, Flask, Node.js, and PHP/WordPress, as well as frontend development using Angular and jQuery.

James then worked at MPC from 2016 to 2020 as a Senior Developer. James contributed to various projects during their tenure, demonstrating their expertise and experience in development.

Currently, James is employed as the Lead Web Developer at Pass the Keys since September 2020.

James Hardy attended SEEVIC College from 1995 to 1997, where they studied Physics, Maths, and Computer Science. James then enrolled at the University of Reading in 1997 and completed their studies in Computer Science and Cybernetics in 1998.
