Caroline Hastings

Principal Investigator at Passage Bio

Caroline Hastings has a diverse work experience spanning several fields. Caroline currently serves as a Principal Investigator at Cyclo Therapeutics, Inc. In 2021, they also became a Principal Investigator at Passage Bio, where they are involved in a gene therapy trial for patients with infantile gangliosidosis. In terms of professional affiliations, Caroline has been actively involved with the American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (ASPHO). Caroline has held various roles within ASPHO, including President, President Elect, Board Treasurer, and Member Board of Trustees. Caroline has also served as a Board member at Children First Medical Group and held the position of Pediatric Hematologist Oncologist at Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Caroline has made contributions to UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland as a Treasurer on the Board of Directors and as Associate Director for Physician Network Development. Additionally, Caroline has been part of the Scientific Advisory Board at CTDH, Inc.

Caroline Hastings completed their education at UC San Diego from 1978 to 1982, studying animal physiology, public health policy, and general literature. Later, they pursued their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of California, Davis - School of Medicine from 1982 to 1986. Subsequently, from 1986 to 1989, they completed their residency in pediatrics at Children's Hospital Oakland. Finally, they also completed a fellowship in pediatric hematology oncology at Children's Hospital Oakland from 1989 to 1992.
