Todd Schmerler

Todd Schmerler is an experienced educator currently teaching Journalism I, II, and III, as well as TV Production at Passaic Prep since July 2019. Previously, Schmerler taught at Westwood Regional High School and Mets Charter School, focusing on Media Studies and Journalism. A significant portion of Schmerler's career was spent at Dorf Feature Service, where Schmerler held various roles including Managing Editor and Online Content Manager, overseeing a staff of 40 in high school sports departments across multiple publications. Additionally, Schmerler served as Managing Editor for Player Press, LLC, where Schmerler developed a sports blogging website and collaborated with NFL players. Schmerler earned a Master's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University and a Bachelor's degree in English with a concentration in Modernist Literature from Clark University.
