Darko Maksimovic

Darko Maksimovic has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. Darko is currently serving as the Head of Development at Passion.io, where they manage the overall tech team and takes charge of principal engineering for the development of JavaScript and Ruby on Rails projects in the AWS cloud. Darko is responsible for shaping the development process and leading the architectural upgrade of the project using DDD and Clean Architecture.

Prior to their current role, Darko worked as a Software Architect and Team Lead at People-Analytix AG from September 2019 to February 2022. In this role, they led and coordinated the full-stack JavaScript and Java development projects, along with database design and project planning. Darko's focus was on setting long-term goals, implementing feasible refactoring points, and improving procedures and architecture.

From June 2017 to July 2019, Darko worked as a Senior Frontend Developer at Kindred Group plc. Darko was part of a frontend team responsible for maintaining a core platform used by regional casino websites.

Before that, Darko served as a Fullstack Lead at RoundGlobe Tech from September 2016 to May 2017. Darko was involved in building a web app for the DasCoin wallet from scratch, connecting it to the blockchain through a custom protocol.

Darko also gained valuable experience at Bloomberg LP, where they worked as a Senior C++ Developer and Scrum Master from March 2015 to July 2016. During their time there, they improved the quality of a C++ library and contributed to the migration to a more modern and well-tested codebase.

Furthermore, Darko worked as a C++ Tech Lead at PSTech from November 2011 to March 2015. Darko led a team responsible for maintaining key features of Cisco Jabber, a corporate messaging product. The project had strict quality criteria due to clients such as the US military and big banks.

At the beginning of their career, Darko worked at Premier d.o.o. as a Full Stack and C++ Developer from December 2006 to May 2011. Darko built and maintained the company's online gambling website and contributed to the development of various applications.
