Monique de Flamingh CA(SA) has a wealth of experience in finance and operations. Monique began their career in 2010 as a Summer Internship at Coronation Fund Managers. In 2014, they joined Grant Thornton LLP as an Audit for CA(SA). In 2017, they moved to Deloitte as Manager of the FTSE 100 Division, where they were recognized for their exceptional work ethic, technical ability, and professionalism with the Limelight Award. In 2019, they joined Impact as Global Accounting Manager in the SaaS industry (pre-IPO). Her key responsibilities included US GAAP revenue accounting and OTC & RTR process automation, Global Clearing House accounting and process automation, CAPEX, financial instruments, commissions and other technical accounting and reporting. Monique achieved success in ASC 606 revenue accounting standard adoption (technical accounting, process design and implementation), Global Clearing House process improvement, and reduction in month end reporting timeline by 50%. Monique also designed the CAPEX process and successfully transitioned the first year Big 4 audit. In 2022, they moved to Passion.io as Finance & Operations Manager.
Monique de Flamingh CA(SA) obtained their Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree from the University of Cape Town in 2012, specializing in Financial Accounting. In 2014, they completed their Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting Science from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, specializing in Financial Accounting and Auditing. Monique then completed their Postgraduate Dipoma Applied Accounting Sciences from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika in 2015, again specializing in Financial Accounting and Auditing. In 2016, Monique de Flamingh CA(SA) obtained their APT Professional Competence Programme, First Time Pass from APT - Accounting Professional Training, Assessment of Professional Competence (APC), First Time Pass from SAICA CA(SA) and Initial Test of Competence (ITC), First Time Pass from SAICA CA(SA).
