Pedro Assuncao

Pedro Assuncao is a senior software engineer and tech lead who has worked with some of the world's biggest brands. Pedro is currently with Passionfruit, and has previously been with Cazoo, Drover, Wordans, and BOLD International. Assuncao has been working in the software development industry for over 10 years and has a wealth of experience in programming languages, software architecture, and micro-services. Pedro is an expert in Ruby on Rails and has used their skills to build authentication, pricing, subscription, and other systems for their previous companies. In their current role at Passionfruit, Assuncao is responsible for leading the technical team and ensuring that the codebase is consistent across all development teams. Pedro is also responsible for championing best practices and design strategies, and introducing new ways to make developers' lives easier.

Pedro Assuncao attended Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal where they studied computer science and earned their B.E. & E.C.S. Pedro also attended Escola Secundária Manuel Cargaleiro where they studied electronics. In addition to their formal education, Pedro Assuncao is certified as a skydiving instructor from Federação Portuguesa de Paraquedismo, as well as a certified wingsuit coach/instructor from Squirrel and Phoenix Fly.
