Sean McCarthy

Sean McCarthy is an experienced professional in user interface design, journalism, and technical writing. Currently serving as a Conversational AI Designer at Microsoft since July 2023, McCarthy focuses on creating empathetic, user-centered designs for chat and voice applications. Previously, McCarthy has held roles including Senior User Interface Designer at Nuance Communications, User Experience Designer at West Corporation, and Staff Writer positions at Omaha Magazine, PopMatters, and The Omaha Weekly-Reader. With a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, McCarthy has contributed to various publications and developed user documentation for prominent organizations such as CSG International and West Corporation.
