Eric Zhang

Eric Zhang is the Founder and CEO of Pastel Special Education, a free eLearning platform designed to support educators and families in the inclusion of children with autism spectrum disorders and other learning exceptionalities since October 2017. Zhang served as a Strategic Advisor at 1 Million Teachers from August 2020 to October 2021, addressing the global shortage of qualified educators. Prior experience includes a role as a Clinical Project Specialist at Alberta Health Services from August 2013 to October 2017, where contributions led to significant improvements in operational efficiencies and cost reductions at Rockyview General Hospital. Zhang also completed summer research internships at the Hotchkiss Brain Institute and the University of Calgary, focusing on neuroscience and immunology. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from Queen's University, a Master of Management in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Smith School of Business, and a Life Sciences degree from Queen's University.
