Valentin Staykov has varied work experience that includes leadership roles and positions in project management, finance, and education. In 2010, they worked as a Technology Sales Associate at STAPLES Canada. From 2011 to 2012, they served as a Research Assistant at the University of Toronto. Valentin then joined IBM Canada Ltd. in 2012 as a Financial Analyst, where they performed financial analysis, developed forecasts, and presented results to finance executives. In 2013, they became a Peer Mentor at the University of Toronto. Valentin co-founded LoftShare in 2014 and served as the CEO until 2016. During this time, they also co-founded Flowcast HQ in 2016 and held the position of CEO until 2017. In 2016, they joined Gigster as a Network Growth Team Lead and later became a Project Manager. Valentin's responsibilities at Gigster included coordinating with clients, developers, and other project managers to staff gigs and complete projects. In 2017, Valentin joined Pastel HQ as a Co-Founder and CEO. Additionally, they were a Teaching Assistant for RSM455 - Pricing at the University of Toronto in 2017, where they graded assignments, held tutorials, and managed the student portal.
