Michael Matheny

Michael Matheny has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles, primarily in the banking industry. Michael served as the VP Controller at Patelco Credit Union, where they were responsible for overseeing the accounting department and managing financial reporting, regulatory reporting, and accounting operations. Prior to that, they worked at Wells Fargo in various roles, including Senior Finance Manager for Corporate Functions and Head of Finance for the Marketing Division. In these positions, they oversaw finance and accounting activities for large divisions, supervised teams, and served on executive leadership teams. Earlier in their career, Michael held leadership roles at Wells Fargo in finance, accounting, risk and compliance, and information security functions. Michael also has experience in a start-up company and in a Big 4 accounting firm. Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated a track record of driving financial growth, implementing process improvements, and building strong relationships with stakeholders.

Michael Matheny obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance and Management from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, completing their education from 1988 to 1993. Michael also holds a Certification as a Public Accountant (CA License #72845) from the California State Board of Accountancy.
