Amber Wessells

Amber Wessells is an experienced educational professional currently serving as a Social Emotional Learning Instructional Specialist at Paterson Public Schools since August 2022. Previously, Amber worked as a Virtual Middle School Instructor and SEL Curriculum Developer at Brooklyn Laboratory Charter School, where a 90% student passing rate was achieved in online math and science classes. Additional roles include serving as a Confidential Secretary to the Lead Administrator and SEL PLC Lead at Mets Charter School, and as a 4th Grade Lead Classroom Teacher at Seth Boyden Demonstration Elementary School. Amber also has a background in elementary education, having taught at Luis Munoz Marin Elementary School, along with experiences in customer service and sports management. Amber is pursuing a Master of Arts in Counselor Education at Seton Hall University, building on a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Wesleyan University.
