Shwu-Maan Lee serves as the Program Director for the CMC at PATH's Center for Vaccine Innovation and Access since March 2014, after previously holding the position of Senior Program Officer for the Malaria Vaccine Initiative from 2014 to 2019. Prior to PATH, Shwu-Maan worked at Baxter Healthcare in various leadership roles from 2000 to 2013, achieving notable accomplishments such as leading the technology transfer of the pertussis vaccine to Denmark and receiving multiple corporate technical awards for significant advancements in vaccine development. Early career experience includes roles at North American Vaccines, Genex Corp, and Program Resources Inc., where Shwu-Maan was pivotal in the commercial process development of several vaccines and recombinant products. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Chemistry from National Taiwan University, a Ph.D. and Master's degree in Biological Chemistry and Organic Chemistry, respectively, from the University of Illinois Chicago, and a Postdoctoral degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
