Ylaine Gerardin

Ylaine Gerardin is a highly accomplished Principal Biomedical Data Scientist at PathAI since June 2022, with a robust background in data science and systems biology. Prior to this role, Ylaine held various positions at Finch Therapeutics from January 2017 to June 2022, including Senior Principal Data Scientist, Associate Principal Data Scientist, Senior Data Scientist, and Data Scientist. Ylaine's experience also includes serving as a Scientific Consultant at Expii, Inc. and conducting postdoctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with Jeff Gore in the Physics of Living Systems group. Ylaine completed a Ph.D. in Systems Biology at Harvard University, where dissertation research was conducted under Roy Kishony, and served as a Teaching Fellow. Earlier academic endeavors include research roles at MIT and UC San Diego. Ylaine holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and Biology from MIT and has further education from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Marine Biological Laboratory.
