Kathy Wheeler

Kathy Wheeler is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in quality assurance and compliance within healthcare laboratories. Currently serving as the Quality Assurance Operations Director at PathGroup, Kathy oversees the Corporate Quality & Safety Program across 59 CLIA sites and leads policy development and implementation. Previously, as the Director of Quality and Compliance at Detroit Medical Center, Kathy managed a Quality/Compliance Program for a network of 12 CLIA licensed sites and spearheaded various process improvement initiatives. Kathy's career also includes significant roles at the American Red Cross, where responsibilities ranged from managing Quality Assurance staff to overseeing regulatory compliance and conducting external inspections. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from The University of Toledo and a degree in Medical Technology from Mercy School of Medical Technology.
