Benedikt von Braunmühl

Benedikt von Braunmühl is the current Chairman of the Board of Directors at PathoQuest. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Operating Officer Diagnostic Services at Medicover from December 2016 to April 2021.

At Medicover, Braunmühl was responsible for crisis leadership during the Corona pandemic. Benedikt ensured staff security, motivation, and engagement across multiple countries while also enabling continued and uninterrupted customer services. In response to the rapidly increasing demand for COVID testing, Braunmühl rapidly increased capacity by 5-fold during a short period of time and attended new customer segments, such as the travel industry (airports, cruise lines).

During their time at Medicover, Braunmühl grew revenues by 1.8-fold in 4 years by expanding the geographic footprint in existing markets, adding new capabilities (e.g., digital commercial tools) and pursuing M&A opportunities. Benedikt also doubled EBITDA in 4 years and increased profit margins significantly by implementing several operational excellence initiatives.

Braunmühl has experience leading operations with full P&L responsibility in 10 countries (> 90 medical laboratories) with > 9,000 employees and 18 direct reports. Benedikt has also transformed the Divisional Leadership Team, implemented improved processes in finance, procurement, operational and commercial excellence, and streamlined strategic planning processes. In May 2017, they led the Diagnostic Division's IPO for Going Public at Swedish NASDAQ.

Benedikt von Braunmühl has a BBA in Economics from the Lorange Institute of Business Zurich.
