Sumit Kumar

Sumit Kumar currently serves as the Vice President and Head of CMC & Technical Operations at Pathos, overseeing end-to-end CMC strategy and operations since August 2025. Prior experience includes positions as Executive Director and Head of CMC/Tech Ops at SCYNEXIS, Inc., and as Head of CMC/Tech Ops at Valo. Sumit has a strong background in CMC leadership roles at Bristol Myers Squibb, where responsibilities included leading cross-functional teams and managing complex product development initiatives. With earlier roles at Celgene, Allergan, and multiple research positions, Sumit has developed expertise in small molecule formulation, process development, and technical operations. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the University of Connecticut, an MS in Pharmacology from Southern Illinois University, and a B.Pharm. from the Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research.
