Wayne Ownby

Wayne Ownby has extensive work experience in tax accounting and finance. Wayne recently held the position of Director of Tax Accounting at both Pathward and MetaBank in 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Vice President of Accounting & Tax at BBVA Compass - Equipment Finance Division from 2012 to 2020, where they led accounting operations and tax compliance. Wayne also served as the Vice President of State & Local Taxes at Citizens Bank from 1997 to 2012, overseeing tax compliance for the Equipment Finance Division. Additionally, they held the position of Vice President at ICX Corporation (acquired by Citizens Bank) during the same period. Wayne's early career includes a role as the Tax Manager at Premier Farnell from 1980 to 1997, where they handled federal, state, and local tax compliance and was also responsible for cost management and special pricing programs.

Wayne Ownby obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a major in Accounting from John Carroll University. Wayne attended the university from 1977 to 1982.
