Marlena Hathaway, LPC, NCC has a diverse work experience that spans various fields. Marlena began their career in 2012 as an intern at the Madison County Probation Department. In 2014, they worked as a mentor at the Growing Scholars Educational Center. From 2012 to 2014, they also served as a summer intern at the Granite City Police Department. Marlena then worked as a dance instructor at Gracefully Yours Dance Academy from 2008 to 2013.

In 2011, they joined Victoria's Secret as a cashier and later became a merchandising supervisor. Marlena remained with the company until 2016. Marlena also worked as a behavioral health technician at Gateway Regional Medical Center from 2016 to 2017.

Marlena gained further experience at Queen of Peace Center, starting as a counseling intern in 2016. Marlena then served as a community support specialist, counselor, and finally as a clinical manager from 2017 to 2021.

Currently, Marlena is employed at Compass Health Network, where they work as a therapist since March 2021. Additionally, they took on the role of Director of the MAT Expansion Project in April 2022.

Marlena Hathaway, LPC, NCC, obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where they studied from 2010 to 2013. Later, they attended Webster University from 2015 to 2017 and earned a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor.
