Rachel Westhoff (Zawila)

Rachel (Zawila) Westhoff has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Rachel started their career as a Marketing Intern at Yale University Press in 2005, where they designed and edited promotional materials. From 2006 to 2008, Rachel worked as an Editorial Assistant at ISPA - International SPA Association, managing the production process for a trade magazine and editing various content. In 2008, they joined Sommelier Journal magazine as an Editor, where they played a key role in generating article ideas and managing the editorial department. From 2011 to 2013, Rachel worked at Franciscan Media, initially as an Associate Editor for St. Anthony Messenger magazine, where they contributed to the website redesign and the launch of the digital version. Rachel then became the Managing Editor of Liberty+Vine digital magazine, co-founding the first exclusively digital magazine in the Catholic marketplace and overseeing its production. In 2013, Rachel joined gyro as an Executive Editor, leading their content marketing discipline and developing integrated marketing communications plans for leading B2B brands. Finally, they joined PatientPoint as a Senior Writer and Editor in 2016 and quickly progressed to become the Content Marketing Director. Rachel is currently serving as the Vice President of Marketing at PatientPoint since April 2021.

Rachel (Zawila) Westhoff completed their Bachelor of Journalism degree in Magazine from the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2002 to 2005. In 2004, they also participated in an internship program focused on British Life and Culture and International Journalism at Imperial College London.
