Joanne Crean

Joanne Crean has a diverse work experience. Joanne began their career as a Healthcare Assistant at Boots in 2006 before becoming a Pharmacist intern at Diageo in 2008. Joanne then worked as a PhD Research Student at Trinity College Dublin from 2009 to 2014, focusing on drug delivery design. During this time, Joanne also worked as a Yoga Teacher at Open Minds Yoga.

In 2012, Joanne interned as a Manufacturing Technology Intern at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where they supported manufacturing processes. Joanne then joined Ashoka in 2013 as a Change Executive, working on social entrepreneurship projects.

In 2015, Joanne worked at the European Commission as a Policy Assistant and Stagiaire in eHealth and Health Technology Assessment. Joanne was involved in various tasks related to data collection, agreements, and communication tools.

From 2016 onwards, Joanne worked at Patients Know Best, starting as a Project Manager for Customer Success. Joanne later became a Product Manager and currently holds the role of Product Team Lead.

Joanne Crean's education history includes a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) from Trinity College Dublin, which they completed from 2004 to 2008. Joanne later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology at Trinity College Dublin from 2009 to 2014. During their time at Trinity College Dublin, they also obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Statistics from 2011 to 2012 and a Postgraduate Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship - Innovation Academy from 2012 to 2014.

In addition to their pharmacy studies, Joanne completed a Diploma in Yoga Teaching (600hr) from Yoga Therapy Ireland in 2008 and a 250 hr Yoga Teacher Training in Classical Hatha Yoga India from Yoga Vidhya Dham in the same year. Currently, Joanne is pursuing a Master of Computer and Information Technology at the University of Pennsylvania, starting in 2019 and expected to complete in 2023.
