Can (Ken) Gao has over 12 years of work experience in the tech industry. Can (Ken) began their career in 2006 as an Intern at Oracle, where they developed phase II of the internal project INDEPTH. This project was developed in J2EE architecture and a variety of Oracle softwares and tools. In 2008, they became a Principle Member of Technical Staff at Oracle, focusing on functional testing of Oracle Business Process Management Suite. Can (Ken) also created a test framework combining Sikuli & Selenium to automate UI test cases and an ANT based test framework to build test codes and automate back-end test cases. Can (Ken) later became a Senior Member of Technical Staff and a Member of Technical Staff in High Availability Testing. In 2014, they became the Founder & COO of PatPat, a mommy of all shopping apps. Can (Ken) was responsible for direct partnership with manufacturers to cut out all middleman, disrupt traditional e-commerce, and create a rigorous three-step system to ensure every order meets high quality and safety standards. Can (Ken) also implemented light gamification features to bring fun to user's shopping experience.

Ken Gao completed their Master's degree in Information Technology at Carnegie Mellon University from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they obtained a BA in Software Engineering from Sun Yat-sen University from 2002 to 2006. Can (Ken) attended Hainan Middle school from 1996 to 2002.
