Patriot at Home – Part B Therapy Coordinator

Location: This position will work full time in the office at 986 Tibbetts Wick Rd, Girard, OH 44420 for the first 6-8 months. After that, the position will be remote. 

Business Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

The responsibilities of our Part B Therapy Coordinator include: 

  • Obtain referrals and collect insurance cards
  • Communicate with billing department, therapy staff, and other departments daily
  • Call POA - e.g. financials, consents, signatures
  • Build charts
  • Schedule evaluations and visits to the assistant and therapist
  • Receive and review evaluation and other necessary paperwork from therapist
  • Upload documents into EMR system
  • Accept and make calls from POA and PCP
  • Complete QA and tracking daily
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Job Conditions:

  • Position is stressful in terms of meeting deadlines
  • It is a primarily a desk job, which essentially involves sitting, standing, stooping, and walking, as well as an inordinate amount of telephone communication

Qualifications:

  • Two years of healthcare experience or basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet regulatory deadlines and deliver effective results

  • Excellent computer and phone skills

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
