Gage DeBonise

Gage DeBonise has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Gage started their career in 2004 as a Server at The Gateway Tavern and worked there until 2012. In 2010, they joined A.D. Makepeace Company as a Fabricator/Mechanic, where they were responsible for MIG and TIG fabrication, pipe fitting, small engine repair, diesel mechanic work, and operating heavy machinery. Gage later moved on to work as a Junior Engineer at Ingram Barge Company in 2014, gaining commercial shipping experience and performing maintenance on vessels' engines and systems. In the same year, they also worked at Patriot Contract Services, LLC. as an Assistant Third Engineer.

Gage then joined Saltworks Marine in 2013 as a Maintenance/Mechanic, where they performed general maintenance on pleasure and light-duty craft, conducted engine mechanics and troubleshooting, as well as welding, winterizing, shrink wrapping, plumbing, and electrical tasks. Gage continued their journey at Patriot Contract Services, LLC. in 2017, starting as a Third Engineer and progressing to the role of Second Engineer before becoming the First Assistant Engineer in 2022. Their responsibilities in these roles included overseeing engine operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring the efficient functioning of the vessel. Gage's work experience showcases their technical expertise, mechanical skills, and ability to adapt to different industries.

Gage DeBonise completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Marine Engineering from Massachusetts Maritime Academy from 2012 to 2016. Before that, they attended Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School from 2009 to 2012, focusing on Marine Sciences and obtaining a degree in Marine Services/Mechanics/Welding.

In addition to their formal education, Gage has also obtained several certifications. In June 2016, they received the Universal Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification from Ferris State University. Gage obtained the Construction Safety and Health certification from OSHA-Training.com in December 2012, and the General Industry Safety and Health certification from the same institution in June 2010.

Furthermore, Gage has obtained the Transportation Worker Identification Credential from the Department of Transportation in November 2018, and the Merchant Mariner Credential from the U.S. Coast Guard in January 2017.
