Jared Ciavola

Jared Ciavola has a strong background in engineering, primarily in marine-related roles. Jared began their career in 2010 with the Military Sealift Command, where they served as a 3rd Assistant Engineer from July 2010 to June 2013, followed by a promotion to 2nd Assistant Engineer from June 2013 to April 2014.

In 2014, Jared joined Patriot Contract Services, LLC., where they held various roles within the engineering department. Jared started as a 2nd Assistant Engineer from April to October 2014. Jared then served as a First Assistant Engineer from October 2014 to November 2015 and continued in that position until October 2019. In October 2019, they were promoted to the position of Chief Engineer, which they currently hold.

Overall, Jared Ciavola has consistently gained experience and expertise in the engineering field, specifically within the marine industry.

Jared Ciavola started their education journey in 2005 at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering. Jared completed their studies in 2010. In addition to their degree, Jared has obtained several certifications in various fields. Jared completed the Advanced Firefighting Academy in June 2010, and they hold certifications for 1st Assistant Engineer, Motor, Unlimited HP; 2nd Assistant Engineer, Steam, Unlimited HP; Chief Engineer, Gas Turbine, Unlimited HP; and Chief Engineer, Limited, Motor and Gas Turbine, 1600 GRT, Oceans from the U.S. Coast Guard. Jared also obtained certifications in Electrical Safety for Industrial Facilities and High Voltage Equipment Operations from the AVO Training Institute, as well as certifications in Engine Room Resource Management and Gas Turbine Engineering from Calhoon MEBA Engineering School. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Leadership & Managerial Skills from the California Maritime Academy, Magazine Sprinkler Systems, Operation, Maintenance and Repair from the Center for Surface Combat Systems Detachment West, Mangement of Electrical and Electronic Control Equipment (MEECE) from Training Resources Limited, and Programmable Logic Controllers from the AVO Training Institute. Jared also holds certifications in Tank Ship - Dangerous Liquids and Tankerman PIC, Dangerous Liquids from the U.S. Coast Guard, as well as a certification in Vessel Security Officer from Training Resources Limited.
