Erica Payne

Erica Payne is the Founder and President of the Patriotic Millionaires, an organization advocating for a rational tax code, fair wages, and the reduction of money's influence in politics since November 2010. Payne is also the author of "Tax the Rich: How Lies, Loopholes and Lobbyists Make the Rich Even Richer," published in 2021. Prior to this, Payne founded The Agenda Project, an advocacy group active from January 2004 to December 2016, and worked as Principal at The Tesseract Group, a marketing firm focused on public policy advocacy, from 2002 to 2010. Additional experience includes roles in marketing at Marquis Jet, investor marketing at DragonFly Wireless, and positions at the Democratic National Committee from 1993 to 1997. Payne holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and studied at Wharton Business School.
