Mike Kappel

Michael J. Kappel is the founder and CEO of Patriot Software. Upon earning his Industrial and Systems Engineering degree from Ohio University in 1980, Mr. Kappel worked in the Nuclear Equipment Division at Babcock & Wilcox in various Software Engineering capacities. In 1986, Mr. Kappel saw unlimited potential in the relatively young software industry so he left the corporate world to start the first of the Patriot Software companies: Synergy Data Systems (1986); Top Echelon Software (1988); FoxHire (1992); and Career Marketplace (1995). In 2002, Kappel focused his energies to position Patriot Software as the premier SaaS provider of Accounting and Payroll for American businesses and their Accountants.
