Dr.-Ing. Juergen Engel

Dr.-Ing. Juergen Engel has a diverse background in information security and consulting. Dr.-Ing. Juergen currently works as an Information Security Officer at PATRIZIA SE since July 2020. Previously, they held the position of Senior Information Security Specialist at MAN Energy Solutions SE from November 2015 to June 2020. Before that, they worked as a Senior Security Consultant at TÜV Rheinland i-sec GmbH from July 2011 to October 2015. Dr.-Ing. Juergen Engel also has experience with Siemens Enterprise Communications GmbH & Co. KG, where they held various roles including Senior Solution Consultant, Senior Project Manager, and Senior Consultant from 2000 to 2011. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Consultant and Product Manager at varetis AG and as a System Specialist at Hogatex Software GmbH. Dr.-Ing. Juergen also has teaching experience as a Lehrbeauftragter an der Fakultät für Informatik at Hochschule Augsburg since October 2006.

Dr.-Ing. Juergen Engel completed their education with a focus on the field of Informatik. Dr.-Ing. Juergen first attended Technische Hochschule Augsburg from 1988 to 1993, where they obtained their Diplom-Informatiker (FH) degree. Later, from 2004 to 2006, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Informatik from the same institution. Lastly, they attended Universität Rostock from 2009 to 2020, where they earned their Dr.-Ing. degree in Informatik.
