Christian Maynard-Philipp has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Christian is currently the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pattern Financial, a position they have held since August 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Square as the Chief Compliance Officer of Cash App Investing from February 2019 to July 2020.

Before joining Square, Christian worked at Third Party Technologies as the Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Operating Officer from March 2018 to February 2019. Christian also has experience working in compliance and operations roles at Acorns & Vault Investing, Oregon State Treasury, Cable Hill Partners, and the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Additionally, they have interned at the Center for American Progress and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Throughout their career, Christian has demonstrated expertise in complex financial products, legislative and regulatory guidance, and scaling infrastructure. Christian has also been involved in managing compliance programs, integrating brokerage systems, and providing research and analysis for policy and legislative issues.

Christian Maynard-Philipp has a diverse education history. Christian began their education at the University of Oregon, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy and Management and Political Science, which they completed from 2006 to 2010.

After completing their undergraduate degree, Maynard-Philipp pursued further education at George Mason University's School of Public Policy. Christian obtained a Master's Degree in Economic Development from 2013 to 2015.

In 2014, Maynard-Philipp attended a summer course at Mansfield College, University of Oxford, focusing on the topic "Britain, the EU and the Challenge of Globalization." The field of study for this course is not specified.

Continuing their education, in 2018, Maynard-Philipp attended the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business. Christian completed the FINRA Institute at Georgetown Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional (CRCP)® program, which is a part of the Executive Education in Regulatory Compliance.

In addition to their formal education, Maynard-Philipp has obtained several professional certifications through FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority). Christian obtained the Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional (CRCP)® certification in November 2018. Christian also holds certifications for Series 24, Series 4, Series 63, Series 7, and Series 65, which were obtained between 2016 and 2018.
